In 2024, my wife Tanja and I stepped by faith from zero.
After serving in a local church for almost 5 years, grace motivated us live out the mission of Jesus (Matt. 28:18-20) — by planting a gospel-centered community right in the heart of our city: Timișoara, Romania.
The planting project, which
was called ZOE for the first year, will become a Baptist Christian church this fall.
We have a new name (Comunitatea Harului),
we meet in our first permanent location (Nera, 2), and we believe God is writing new stories of grace for such a time as this.

The city of Timișoara has hundreds of thousands of people who do not know Christ, and many others who know only a legalistic or relativistic religiosity.
We began in a humble, counterintuitive, counter-cultural way—without bands, hype, or money—not because we are better, but precisely because we are not. And for that very reason, we want to remain dependent on the grace of Christ so that in everything we may glorify God.
We have longed for, and still long for, a community of grace—not a stage for religious performance. A place of truth, not fake smiles for the sake of marketing. A Christian church where God is at the center, not man.
We are convinced that God does not need any of us, and yet, in spite of us, He has chosen us—to love us, to show us grace, to send us. And because of His boundless grace, we choose to serve Him with our time, talents, and treasure.
We believe that through fragile, fallible, and fractured people like us—and like you—but saved by grace and deeply loved through the love that flows from the cross, God can transform the city of Timișoara through the Treasure of the Gospel.
“We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” — 2 Corinthians 4:7
After one year of discipleship and gatherings in homes, coffee shops, and other public spaces, in July 1, 2025, we have officially rented our first permanent location—a simple, beautiful, and welcoming place where we are renewed through the Gospel, loved in Christ, and sent to the forgotten, the broken, and the lost.
